OPEN CALL: Applications 2026, Sculpture + Extended Media MFA

Deepen and expand your studio practice alongside a cohort and faculty/artist community engaged in a diverse range of sculptural approaches from spatial, object, and material-based practices; to performance, film, and lens-based media; from social and relational to web-based and evolving technologies. Explore and grow through making in an environment of speculation and high expectations for self-motivation, intellectual capacity, and social responsibility.

Ours is a two-year studio intensive period with faculty studio visits, both peer-centric critique classes and faculty reviews, and intensive seminars. Graduate students’ studios, located in the same building as our lively undergraduate sculpture + extended media program, offer first-floor direct access, natural light, both private space and collective making areas, as well as proximity to a full making shop including wood and metal fabrication, plaster and mold making, foundry, and digital fabrication.

Sculpture + Extended Media graduate faculty are Massa Lemu, Corin Hewitt, Lily Cox-Richard, Michael Jones McKean, Jeremy Toussaint-Baptiste, and Kendall Buster.
