OPEN CALL: 2026 Architecture Residency at Art Omi

Art Omi: Architecture invites applications for its 2026 residency program, welcoming ten early- to mid-career architects from around the world to its campus in the Hudson Valley. Located two hours north of New York City, Art Omi offers a unique setting for architects to develop their work within a vibrant, international community.

Apply now for a two-week residency taking place from May 28 to June 15, 2026. Applications are due by October 15, 2025 at 11:59pm EST. Visit artomi.org for full details and to apply.

Selected through a free and open application process, residents are chosen based on the strength of their proposed project and portfolio. The program provides dedicated time and space for architects to work independently, culminating in an informal presentation at the residency’s conclusion.

Eligibility & application requirements
Applicants must submit a proposed project they intend to pursue during the residency. Projects may be conceptual or practical, new or ongoing—but must not be client-driven or directed. A final visual presentation is required and can include drawings, models, collages, renderings, or other formats.

Eligible applicants must have been professionally active for at least five years following either licensure or a master’s degree in architecture. The program is open to architects in practice or academia (with a design teaching concentration), from anywhere in the world.

Space is limited and a diverse and international group is sought, consistent with all Art Omi Residency programs and aligning with the mission of the Art Omi: Architecture program.

The 2026 cohort will be selected by a jury composed of practicing architects, educators, and curators, with an emphasis on disciplinary diversity and international representation.
