VIDEO: Ilya & Emilia Kabakov

This week brings us closer to the unique world of Russian artists Ilya & Emilia Kabakov, who have made a pioneering contribution to conceptual art. Ilya Kabakov recollects the time when, as a young artist working in the Soviet Union, the Baroque paintings at the Pushkin Museum in Moscow made a lasting impression on him and describes their legacy on his own practice. His wife and collaborator, Emilia Kabakov, shares her inspiration and talks, amongst other things, about hopes, dreams and fantasies.
