ART-PRESENTATION:Summer Show at Galerie Houg, Paris

00Three artists, two from France and one from Netherlands turned the space of Galerie Houg, after the proposal of the French artist Aurélie Petrel (lives and works in Lyon), into a platform for dialogue with different expressive media and practices.

Jérôme Allavena is an artist from the European School of the Image of Angoulême, he is practicing in all the forms of drawing. He is playing its visual qualities, its relation with time and narrative, its ability to tell the project, the design is inseparable in his work, the design, is the “Mental Thing” and always in relation to a reflection on his materiality. In his series “Knot”, an ordinary story of a car accident, the viewer is led to imagine the whole story, the action that took place and the associating feelings. The photographer Aurélie Pétrel, approach the media of photography with respect to the classical image. In her series “Prises de vue”, the photos are the starting point of the process of appearance of the of the images indexed dynamics on the partition idea. The Amsterdam-based artist Marjolijn de Wit, narrate to us in her paintings, the struggle between urban planning and the natural world and the way the human race wants to take control and make nature its image.
