ART REVIEW:Αwe

Nina Papaconstantinou Hydra School Projects  (HSP) and its Founder and Curator Dimitris Antonitsis showcase the work of up-and-coming and well established, young Greek as well as international artists in Hydra Island since 2000. Hydra School Projects, named because these exhibitions are shown at the Hydra High School that is the historical Sachtouris Mansion. The 20th edition of the series of the exhibition, entitled “Awe” is on show, for the first time in the history of HSP, at the Naval Academy of the island, the exhibition also features an Art hunt with artworks hidden in about 20 places in the town of Hydra. This year Greek & Foreign artists of the international art scene negotiate our relationship with the awe from different points of view. It is an  exhibition with very strong artworks, some visitors may find them provocative, others scary and others incredibly interesting. As every year, “Awe” is a well set-up exhibition, where the dialogue is absolutely harmonic, with artworks that can surprise even the most demanding art lover. The artworks that stand out are those by: Edouard Sacaillan, Cornelia Parker, Nina Papaconstantinou and Stelios Faitakis.
