In the 2017 meeting at the former brewery in the workspace Wartec, 21000 visitors attended LISTE Art Fair. The 79 participating Galleries from 34 countries presented an array of expansive presentations, multi-media works and 34 solo presentations. Representative is the statement by Raster Gallery “No matter how challenging and extreme the weather is, LISTE tent stays busy with people and good energy. Last year we were shivering, this year we’re sweating, but we wouldn’t change the experience-we had a lot of great guests, inspiring conversations and hopefully still some more salew before the week ends. We’ve gotten great feedback about all of our artists, most important Karolina Jablonska, a young Polish painter debuting in Basel this year and we’re looking forward to what comes out of it”. The works by this year’s Helvetia Prize recipient Andnu Deplazes were met a strong media presence. For the 3rd time, Eva Brikenstock curated the 13th edition of LISTE’s performance project. By supporting the Performance Project, LISTE underlines its commitment to promoting emerging, upcoming talent (curators, artists) and to offering a platform for this artistic genre that is not yet well established
