ART-REVIEW:T.A.M.A. Superflow

MAM_TAMA Superflow_Maria Papadimitriou 1Maria’s Papadimitriou exhibition at the Alex Mylona Museum is governed by an axis that divides it, creating the sensation of two different worlds, one constructed by images, memories, sounds, living experiences, involving strength and vitality and “the other” that springs from an oral narrative, a world that someone else told us about. The viewer of the T.A.M.A. Superflow is called to traverse the familiar and obvious, in two levels first through Maria’s Papadimitriou experienced visual look that is working for many years with minorities and introduce us their world naturally and accurately. Second the look of the works of young artists created in the workshop “Inspire 2013: Metamorphosis”, that took place at the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki the Fall of 2013, but their endeavor is not at the same level with Papadimitriou’s artworks, although grapples with the same issue and the same iconography, by involving the viewer in their dialogue.-Efi Michalarou
