REVIEW: RESILIENCE

Exhibition view “RESILIENCE”, TAF Athens, 2022, Courtesy TAF(The Art Foundation)Recently, more and more group exhibitions are organized in alternative, abandoned spaces, but also in spaces that combine both sides just like TAF (The Art Foundation) in Athens. TAF is a very interesting space that changes every time for the needs of an exhibition, as in the case of “RESILIENCE”, that contains a strength and a freshness through the works of older and younger artists. Except the main gallery, most interesting is the space that reminds an abandoned and uninhabitable home an extension of the public space with the aesthetics of graffiti and the lack of special care that most narrow streets in the center of Athens present, as well as the area of Monastiraki where it is located. “RESILIENCE” is a well-designed exhibition, also the parameter of a visual dialogue that extends to the space is added, thus composing a narrative where the poetics of the space creates a new narrative that pushes the viewer to new thoughts and reflections. –Efi Michalarou
