September 2023, is full of exhibitions not only in the galleries and Museums, but also, some of the great Museums of Europe such as the Stedelijk Museum, the Van Abbeemuseum, or the M HKA, reopen the collections to the public,while the actions, the live events, the lectures and the educational programs are again in agenda(!)

The exhibitions that we singled out and recommend to you for this month are: Joan  Jonas’ the most comprehensive solo exhibition in Germany to date at Haus der Kunst in Munich; the exhibition in Athens with works by Sarah Sze at Gagosian; Do Ho Suh’s solo exhibition at Lehmann Maupin-New York; in Paris Georgia Russell presents new works at Galerie Karsten Greve; two exhibitions with works by Cy Twombly are on show in Los Angeles, an exhibition with paintings, sculptures, and works on paper at Gagosian Gallery and “Making Past Present”  at  J. Paul Getty Museum; with recent works, Anish Kapoor presents an exhibition at Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden;“To look without fear” at MoMA, Wolfgang Tillmans’ first museum survey in New York; also three Berlin institutions present the multifaceted work of Mona Hatoum.

And don’t forget, the Venice Biennale continues until November 27 entitled “The Milk of Dreams” curated by Cecilia Alemani.

Finally, do not forget the artists and the architects whose names are interwoven with this month, in the column “Traces”, the artists: John Cage, Christian Boltanski, Dennis Oppenheim, Pierre Huyghe, Lucas Samaras, Matt Mulilican, Peter Halley, Marc Rothko, Carle Andre, Ilya Kabakov, and the architects: Kenzo Tange, Fumihiko Maki, Tadao Ando, Renzo Piano, John Gehl.
