SOCIAL ART: Back to Athens 2022 – No Apocalypse Now, A Review
From the beginning, Back to Athens invited us to return to our city, to see with a different eye the everyday life of Athens, its buildings, its routes, its history and its culture, inspired by the works and actions of its artists festival. On Wed June 29,inaugurated Back to Athens 2022, entitled ”no apocalypse now, a review” proposing a return to an allegorical interpretation of Athens. To simple yet fundamental values and social structures, by revisiting democracy and other influential practices and documents from Plato and Aristotle, to Locke, Rousseau and Kant. The inauguration of the exhibition was attended by Greek and foreign art lovers in order to honor the 19 curators and 120 participating artists with their presence, but also to finally visit their work. -Efi Michalarou
