ART-REVIEW:Evi Theophanidou-Blooming Tales

It happened to see Evi Theofanidou’s artworks before their show and I was really excited. I was excited with their strength and sensitivity, the dynamics and fragility they enclose. The artist that this time, presents in her solo exhibition “Blooming Tales”, at Gallery 7, a series of oversized tulips. Through the craftsmanship of the drawing and at the same time of the Chinese ink and the  pencils, she composes a world that while it seems to have in its center the tulip, on paper and sometimes on canvas, with imposing works that run throughout the gallery as a portrait of nature or even as human portraits. Since each artwork has its own name and uniqueness just like human characters and personalities. An exhibition that ends on June 1, at Gallery 7, 20 Solonos Str, Athens with extended hours due to conditions, which you really should not miss (!)-Efi Michalarou
