Manna, Hydra Island, GreeceOn the occasion of the exhibition “AWE” curated by Dimitris Antonitsis in the context of Hydra School Project’s, we are making a visual tour in the narrow streets and the alleys of Hydra Island for the different spaces that he choose to presents artworks of the exhibition, on the occasion of the 20th edition of Hydra School Project’s. Explaining to our readers the history and the usage of each space, on an island whose every corner is intertwined with art and architecture, music and poetry. So, after the Merchant Marine Academy that is on show the main body of the works, we are heading to the Island’s restaurants, where the combination between art and the endless variety of tastes is irresistible. Starting from “Manna” and its ethnic street food, here its ocher walls makes the artworks look different; to “Oraia Hydra” in the harbor and the black & white artworks; then we are heading to “Plakostroto”, the new arrival in the field of flavors and tastes with Mediterranean gourmet kitchen; then to all time classic “Paradosiako” that serves mezes and the artworks are in total dialogue with the space and we finish our tour at “Kai Kremidi”, exactly the opposite,  that absolute minimalism dominates.-Efi Michalarou
