ART-PRESENTATION:The Mirrors and More

Two artists, Yorgos Tsakiris and Fotis Mandratzis, fellow travelers since 1990 on roads and trails of Mount Paiko, create mirrors and other functional objects. The mirror is an object intimate and distant at the same time, it is a medium of reflection, self-examination and delimitation for the very existence human, basically is a reflection of ourselves or of the object depicted in it. In their artworks, they are using the mirror under a new angle on the delimitation, under a new perspective for the delimitation between inside and external, the old and the new, through the formation of a variety of means of expression. Mirrors, light fixtures, electric lamps, stones, cut logs hanging upright masculine, primitive symbols and civilized at the same time, ready-made objects mentioning childhood memories, coexist in the artworks that create together the artists
