ART-PRESENTATION:Alexandros Maganiotis-alphabet games

The series of artworks “alphabet games” by Alexandros Maganiotis include 24 compositions with words (one for each letter of the Greek alphabet) and their images, where animal heads or plants raised through human bodies. The forms are designed with markers on translucent paper from general certificates of elementary school, with the outlines and volumes to be formed by dots. His artworks, original and imaginative, form intentionally ambiguous and unexpected illustrations, submit a paradoxical, subversive and very interesting perception of reality trigger messages of displacement and transfer. They move to the boundary between normal and paradox, balance upon to unexpected encounters and coexistences. The works of Alexandros Maganiotis involve the experience, expand the vision, and are eye-catching, form a mental mechanism, an original aesthetic alphabet itself of the human life and its adventure. Main parameter of his self-examination, constitutes the investigation of the boundaries between image, speech and text, their kinesthetic and mutually complementary relationship.
